Promotional Products - What's the lead time?

When planning promotional products and branded apparel, always check the lead-times, as they will vary greatly.
- Many promotional items are held as 'stock' locally in Australia, ready for decoration. Lead times can vary from a quick supply of 3-4 days to a couple of weeks.
- Some promotional IT items such as flashdrives, are often available as an indent order with a 'quick' supply of 10-14 days.
- Custom made or large volumne orders (e.g. plush toys, bags, apparel) are often produced and supplied ex factory off-shore and have lead-times of 8-16 weeks.
The time of year, such as the festive season, can put decorators under pressure, so allow longer than usual. And remember, the leadtime only starts from the artwork approval being signed.
